The Wheel represents an ever changing series of events.  The Tetragrammaton reveals a Divine presents in the cycle of life. The T A RO or T O R A is the balance between two paths symbolizing one's chosen destiny.  The four creatures represent the elements and the four directions.  The serpent is life's energy.  The sphinx represents the higher consciousness.  The demon represents primal instinct on the lower levels of consciousness.
