VIII
Take the paper and write the dedication. Stand or kneel before the Alter. Light the Initiate's Candle as you say...

"I come before this place of my own free will and accord,
with no fear in my heart,
to seek out that which I have longed for,
through light and through darkness, in life and in death."
Lift the Initiate's Candle in offering as you say...

"I have come before this place,
and before all those who witness this rite of passage,
to dedicate myself to the Great Spirit,
so that I may lift myself to the fulfillment of the path set before me."
 

IX
Move to the eastern boundary of the circle and say...

"Hail, Father Creator,
whose hands forged the heavens and the earth.
I stand before you ready to receive your blessing
Illuminate my soul so that I may become one
in body and spirit."

With the Initiate's Candle, draw the Pentagram of Invoking Fire in a red flame, its glow tinted in green. Move to the southern boundary of the circle and say...

"Hail, Mother Nature,
from whose bosom all things are given life.
I stand before you ready to receive your blessing.
Bathe my soul so that I may become one
in body and spirit."

With the Initiate's Candle, draw the Pentagram of Invoking Water in a blue flame, its glow tinted in orange. Move to the western boundary of the circle and say...

"Hail, Father Sky,
from whose shoulders bear the heavens.
I stand before you ready to receive your blessing.
Breathe life into my soul so that I may become one
in body and spirit."

With the Initiate's Candle, draw the Pentagram of Invoking Air in a yellow flame, its glow tinted in violet. Move to the northern boundary of the circle and say...

"Hail, Mother Earth,
from whose womb all life is born.
I stand before you ready to receive your blessing.
Through you I am reborn in one body and one spirit."
With the Initiate's Candle, draw the Pentagram of Invoking Earth in a black flame, its glow tinted in white. Return to your place.
 

X

With the razor cut your thumb so that it may bleed. With a quill take that blood and sign your name on the paper below the written dedication. Take the cup and lift it in offering as you say...

"May the Great Spirit accept this offering
in accordance with my dedication
by Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
As I drink from this cup, I drink the essence
of that which is Divine."
Drink from the cup. Poor the rest into the Libation Dish as you say...

"In return, I bless the Great Spirit."
 

XI

Take the paper and burn it in the Initiate's Candle. Allow the ash to fall into the Libation Dish. Allow the Initiate's Candle to burn completely. When the ritual has ended pour the content of the Libation Dish onto the Earth.
