HIOXOIH

I don't like to reveal personal secrets.  Everything on this site is directly from my own system of Magick and may contradict what many believe and/or say and in fact there's no other website which contains this system so Den of Heathens is a collection of my personal work and of secrets but much of my own system remains offline and only within the pages of my book but there's something I felt like sharing because of the energy I always experience.  I've had a few loyal readers who've been regulars to this site from the beginning and I've noticed how my fan base has grown.  I've received a lot of comments about how I say things that others won't even whisper so this article is for them.  You know who you are.

Since I was a child I've always heard a voice.  It's always been the same voice speaking in the same smokey tone.  I never really paid much attention to it because I had always assumed that everyone heard a voice.  No one told me otherwise.  It wasn't until I was 18 when I really began paying attention.  I was working at my first job and a man was bullshitting with me in between jobs when I noticed that his voice faded from my ears and someone spoke in a strange language.  Now this was the first time that I ever heard the voice say something so strange that during this conversation with this man I wrote down (phoh-neh-tic-ally) what I heard.  Hey-Yoh-Sah-Wee.  I didn't understand.  I kept this piece of paper in my wallet for years.  Even after I was laid off from that job and splitting the sky with my first METAL band I kept that phrase in my back pocket.

One night I was laying in bed just thinking about barbarous words and phrases which have been used throughout the centuries which people have claimed to have "magical power."  It was at that moment that it occurred to me, "Hey, why don't I create my own barbarous word?"

But how?

I played around with a few ideas.  I understood that barbarous words only had power if you put the power there but I didn't want to come up with a random string of letters.  My word had to have a logical pattern then an idea hit me.  I wrote down the alphabet (in capitals) and pulled out those letters which looked the same upside down and reversed.  Only four letters qualified so I wrote them down in alphabetical order and in reverse.  HIOXOIH.  A-ha!  It's power is constant.  It looked pretty barbarous but how the hell would that be pronounced?  It took me a few more years of trials and errors before I was able to pronounce this barbarous word correctly, Hey-Yoh-Sah-Wee!

Of course!  It made perfect sense.  It was at this moment when everything had changed.  I had since lost the piece of paper in my wallet after I had bought a new wallet before remembering that old phrase I kept hidden safely.  I adopted this phrase to be the name of the Great Spirit, the Divine Godhead we all seek.  Everyone has a name for God and I found my own which was personal.  I began to reflect on all the times that I heard the voice speak.  Every time it spoke there was a major change in my life.  It often spoke with a warning of coming change to prepare me for a new phase of my life.

This was a perfect name.  Forwards or backwards it remains unchanged in spelling or pronunciation.  Inverted it also remains unchanged.  If you held it up to a mirror and viewed it's image in reverse it would remain unchangeable.  This phrase was a constant factor.  Barbarous and meaningless words could influence the mind and bring about a higher consciousness.  Through constant use of this name which I've given to the Great Spirit people have often commented that I don't seem like I'm from this world and perhaps I'm not.  I walk my own path and try to leave no footprints for anyone else to follow.

It's commonly believed that all gods are one god and all goddesses are one goddess and both are one.  This idea is also shared through HIOXOIH.  HIO is the masculine and OIH is the feminine.  The "X" unifies them as the one Great Spirit; a single point of universal truth.  Take this idea I gave you and experiment with it.  I dare you.
