Imagine this if you will. Your Grandmother has passed away and at the funeral procession you hear the words, "She lived a long and fruitful life. May her future generations live in the glory of her memory," after which the priest dumps her ashes into the toilet and flushes. Is that too crude? Well that's the direction we're headed. A new law is being considered that will allow human remains to be flushed down the drain, whether it be the toilet, sink or even thrown out with the garbage. The process is called Alkaline Hydrolysis which was developed sixteen years ago to dispose of animal carcasses. All that remains of your existence is a syrup-like residual that once held life. If you hear or read anything about Alkaline Hydrolysis in your state make sure that this law does not pass.
Have we come so far that we even devalue our own existence. If this law passes then it would only be a matter of time before a social consciousness views life as human waste much like feces or other bodily fluids. We are the only species on this planet who kill one another
