Believe it or not, I was raised in the Catholic religion even as I was learning my Pagan ways in earlier times as a teen so I have a good understanding and knowledge of this religion from the inside. Catholicism is the largest cult in the world. Without Catholicism, Christianity may not have existed today and we would all be more spiritual about our daily lives. It's a fact that the Church has stripped away much of humanity's understanding of the Divine and I'll point out the errors which they themselves seem to ignore. You may be asking yourself why an Occult website is talking about Catholicism? Because many times we are confronted by members of the Church and we do not know how to defend ourselves. They often whip out Bible verses in accusation and condemnation and we have no text of our own to shield us from their ignorance. Learn to use their text against them. Not to attack. Never to attack. It's not our place to change another's opinion. Only defend yourself. Turn the attention onto them.
To begin with, the priests are referred to as "Father," as in Father Martin or Father O'Brian. The Bible, their own text, speaks out against this in Matthew 23:9 which states, "Moreover, do not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your father, the heavenly One." For that matter, the Pope is sometimes referred as the Holy Father. In John 17:11 it states, "Also, I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name which you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are." The point here is that the title of Holy Father is reserved for God and it's a sin for the Pope to call himself by that name. While speaking of the Pope, Jesus never said, "Ye shall place a man at the head of my Church as my mediator and he shall be the Pope of all the world."
It's also a custom to confess your sins but 1st Timothy 2:5 states, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, a man Christ Jesus." The act of confessing is nothing more that collecting juicy gossip of Church disciples and also sexual favors were asked for by the priests in order to have God's forgiveness. This isn't always the case but it happens.
The Bible states in Exodus 20:4-5, "You must not make for yourself a carved image or a form like anything that is in the heavens or that is on the earth underneath or that is in the waters under the earth. You must not bow down to them nor be induced to serve them, because I Jehovah your God am a God exacting exclusive devotion..." Does not the Pope bow down before statues of the Virgin Mary?
Speaking of which, Catholicism makes crucial errors by claiming that Mary is the mother of God and remains an everlasting virgin. Mark 6:3 states, "This is the carpenter the son of Mary and the brother of James and Joseph and Judas and Simon, is it not? And his sisters are here with us, are they not?"
It's humorous that Catholicism is more blasphemous than I am. The only difference between the Church and myself is that I'm condemned for it. I do my research to defend myself when I'm attacked. Because of my knowledge I haven't been attacked in years. If the members of the Church were so confident in their beliefs then why did they suddenly disappear? Sure I get hate mail on occasion because I piss off a lot of people from Christianity to Satanism but at least I get no more house calls.
