Three men, blind from birth, encountered an elephant for the first time. They would later describe their encounter to each other. The first blind man, who felt the leg, said that the elephant was like a tree trunk. The second blind man, who spread his touch along the body, described the elephant as being large and mountainous. The third blind man, who felt the trunk, described the elephant as being like a snake.
In this parable, which of these three blind men were right, and which of them were wrong? Can you say for certain that either is so? As we all do, these three blind men described the elephant from the limits of their own perception and understanding. If they had explored the elephant thoroughly, then they would each have had a broader perception.

The Biblical God has become the world-wide God, and I think we should dissect him to see exactly where he came from and what his original purpose may have been.
