Have you ever wondered what it takes to become a saint? Why are some notable people nominated for sainthood and others are not? Saints are not a thing of the past, and some people still attain this title, even in this day and age. Most of the saints of past days were noble and heroic figures who defended the Church or made a noticeable impact in the religious community. Others who had become saints never even existed and are nothing more than Pagan gods who were adopted by the Church in order to convert the so-called heathens.
There are stricked laws in regard to becoming a saint. First, the canditate must be deceased for at least five years after which the following rules are applied.
1. The canditate must be reviewed in his/her achievements and writings. The resulting title is Venerable.
2. Proof of one miracle must be determined in which the canditate pursuaded God into divine intervention. The resulting title is Blessed.
3. Proof of two miracles must be determined. The resulting title is Saint.
