Can the soul be proven to
exist?
Yes. The fact that we can think and
feel shows us that we are living beings. The soul
is not something dynamic or spiritual, in the
sense that it remains out of our reach, belonging
to myth and fantasy. We, as a people, are very
complex. We have a conscious and a subconscious
mind. Can they be denied to exist? We can tell
people of fantastic places we've been to in our
dreams, and can anyone deny that, having been to
places of fantastic origin themselves? The soul
exists by thought and emotion, and there is no
other source for this existence, except for the
spirit, which will be explained shortly.
What's the purpose of the
soul?
The soul is the mediator between the
body and the spirit. As living beings, the soul
absorbs every experience we have. This enables us
to grow in understanding. If we had no soul, then
experience would accomplish nothing, because we
would not learn from them. The purpose of the
soul is to experience. The soul permits us to
learn from our daily living. Being made from
thought and emotion, which consists of conscious
and subconscious minds, we can exist through
instinct and intuition. I don't think you have to
be told that touching fire would burn, or that
jumping from a mountainside can kill you. These
are inborn forms of reason, which the soul
expresses for our own wellbeing.
How does the soul affect our
lives?
We cannot see or feel the soul. We
cannot, seemingly, talk to the soul directly. It
seems to be a mysterious aspect of our lives.
Something which exists, yet cannot be seen or
felt through normal standards. The soul is not
something floating about. Between the body and
the soul, lies the astral. It's the astral where
dreams are expressed, spirits are seen, vibes are
felt, and people travel out of body to explore
other realms which exist beyond our knowledge. As
I've said, the soul is the mediator between the
body and the spirit. Between the soul and the
spirit, lies the ego. The ego acts the role of a
guardian, which separates our daily experiences
from the spirit. The ego is our true selves, and
holds the purpose for our individual existence.
The spirit is our higher consciousness, and is
what people have termed "God." The soul
is the mediator between humanity and the divine.
What happens to the soul when
we die?
At death, the soul is ejected from
the body. Every experience we've had during our
lives is within the soul, and the soul is carried
to the spirit. Keep in mind, that the soul must
first go through the ego. As I've said, the ego
acts the role of a guardian. The soul must be
filtered from all impure experiences. If the soul
remained pure and spiritual, then not much, if
anything, would be filtered. Most people have had
experiences in their lives which have called upon
heavy thoughts and emotions. These things must be
filtered before the soul can return to the
spirit. What's left behind remains in the astral.
This is what remains when people claim to see the
departed loved ones. In other words, the elements
which are filtered from the soul, this is what
people call a "ghost."
Does reincarnation exist, and
if so, why can't we remember our past lives?
Reincarnation does exist. Much the same way the
mother gives birth to the child, the spirit gives
birth to the soul. The soul experiences it's
current life until the body dies, then returns to
the spirit by filtering out heavy thoughts and
emotions through the ego. The spirit then absorbs
everything the soul has learned, and rebirths the
soul for another life. It's believed that the
purpose for reincarnation is so that we can
experience all things in life, which is what the
soul has been doing. The reason why we don't
remember our past lives is because the soul
returns from the spirit, pure and untouched by
those experiences which we had once learned. As
the ego keeps heavy thoughts and emotions away
from the spirit, it also prevents the spirit from
leaking that which it has experienced. The soul
remains empty upon a new life so that we can fill
it once more with a life it's never known. It's
possible, however, through meditation or hypnosis
to allow yourself so deeply into your
consciousness, that the ego will allow you to
view, even experience, your past lives. What's
also interesting is that when the soul returns to
the spirit, the spirit is the white light
which people often claim to see at the end of the
tunnel.
What's the purpose of
worship?
When we perform an act of worship,
it's not meant in adoration to a supreme being
who asks us to kneel in his/her presence. In
fact, the act of worship is misleading. The
purpose for such an act is to commune with our
spirit. As I've said, the soul is the mediator.
An act of worship is to cleanse our soul so that
we can allow the ego to open, and have direct
communication with our spirit. It's our spirit
which is what people call God and Divine. There
is no greater force above the spirit.
