I'm well aware of the fact that Halloween is a long way off, which is exactly why I wrote this article. During Halloween, most people seem to develop an Occult mentality, and are more accepting to thoughts of Magick. It's my intention to bring these thoughts forward again, without the seasonal inspiration of Halloween. It's commonly known that Halloween was a concept adopted from the Celtic, Samhain, and that it's date is on October 31st, which is the beginning of the Celtic new year. I intend to challenge this notion.
I'm going to bring something forward which no one has ever discussed, nor I doubt, has even considered. To place Samhain on October 31st, we use the Gregorian calender. It has to be understood that the Celts had no concept of the Christian calender. Instead, the Celts had a lunar calender which they used for seasonal changes. The names for every full moon were determined by the zodiac sign each full moon fell upon, much like my own calender. The actually day for Samhain should land on the first full moon which enters the sign, Scorpio.
